Reading distance of readers from the Reader family is smaller than the reading distance of standalone controllers Lokus, because the technology of reading cards is different. For example, Reader A-1-D reads 10-12cm, Lokus A-1 reads up to 20cm. If a greater reading distance is needed, the Reader can be replaced with the Lokus, which can be converted into a Wiegand 26-bit reader.

Reader A-4-D is a direct reader for transmitters, so its performance or reception depends on the controller to which it is attached. If it is connected to the Populus V7, it only reads the C4B transmitter because the Populus V7 is unable to decode the REMO transmitter. If it is connected to the Populus V9 it reads the C4B and REMO transmitters. If you want that the REMO transmitter works with the Populus V7, you need the Lokus A-4 (changed to Wiegand 26-bit reader) which can decode the REMO transmitter.

All readers from the Reader family can operate on max. 200 meters of the cable, if the voltage on the end of the cable (at the reader) is above 9V DC (see instructions).

Reader K-1-W works in connection with the Tiran software only if it is connected to the Populus with version 6.15. Program Tiran has no PIN + Card function.
In the Jantar V7 or Codeks software function PIN + Card works only if the reader is connected to the Populus version 7.3 or higher.
